BOSTON EXTENSION

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then head to Boston and on to Cambridge. Tour Harvard University, one of the oldest and most respected institutions of higher learning in the United States. Next drive on to Salem, known for the infamous 1692 Salem Witchcraft Trials as well as for its rich maritime history and its history as the birthplace of the National Guard. Join in an orientation tour of the town, including a visit of the intriguing Salem Witch Museum. Here you will walk in the steps of the notorious witch trials and delve into the phenomenon of witch-hunting from its earlier days back in Europe to Salem. The main presentation is based on actual trial documents. Experience the drama of that dark time though thirteen life-size stage sets, figures, lighting and stirring narration. The museum also explores the changing interpretations of witches, the truth behind the stereotypes, and witchcraft practice today. Check into your hotel in Boston area. (B)
Have breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a fascinating excursion that take you back intime to learn about the American Revolution. The first stop on your exciting day’s agenda is a walking tour of the Lexington Battle Green. Your costumed, professional guide will share insightful moments of the war as they take you to see the Minuteman statue, the old Belfry, and the burying ground with gravestones dating back to 1690. Next, visit Minute Man National Historical Park that commemorates the opening battles of the American Revolution on April 19,1775. Your visit starts at the Visitor’s Center where you will watch "The Road to Revolution" that showcases Paul Revere's Ride and the battles at Lexington Green, North Bridge, and along the Battle Road. Continue along the Battle Road Trail - stopping at momentous places, including the Paul Revere capture site, Captain William Smith House, Hartwell Tavern, and Merian’s corner. (B)
